Mike Kelly supports MyHome

1 October 2020

Mike Kelly retired in April 2020 from being the Member of Parliament for Eden-Monaro, and is now the President of Palantir Technologies Australia

.

Mike will be supporting MyHome’s proposal to the ACT Government. He believes that homelessness in Canberra is simply unacceptable. Through what he has observed at the Early Morning Centre, run by UnitingCare at Pilgrim House in Canberra City in front of his new work place, and through his longstanding involvement with the HOME in Queanbeyan project, he has been deeply disturbed by the many people who are homeless and urgently need secure housing, particularly those struggling with mental health issues.

Recently he met the MyHome Board, and offered to support our effort to provide supported accommodation on the Uniting Church’s land in Curtin to meet some of this need.

So – watch out for Mike Kelly in this space!
