After a long illness, our former President John Tucker died on 31 March 2023.
John was the main inspiration and driving force in establishing MyHome in Canberra and through the early years of our advocacy and fund‑raising. He guided the MyHome team in drawing on the model of HOME in Queanbeyan to formulate our model of care, and in reaching agreement with the Uniting Church about the prospective use of its block in Curtin as the site of MyHome.
In the last few years he has been prevented by illness from continuing in the management committee, and we have missed his contributions. We offer our condolences to his family.
