In a press release on 29 June 2020 the ACT Greens announced the first part of their election campaign , a $450 million ‘Home for All’ package designed to end homelessness and improve housing affordability in the ACT.
It includes large allocations for new properties for affordable rentals and social housing, and allocations for services for the homeless. It also includes $8.5 million “to deliver MyHome in Curtin, providing long-term supported housing for 20 people with enduring mental health issues”.
In the MyHome in Canberra team, we welcome this renewed commitment from the ACT Greens, and hope that candidates for other parties in the coming election for the ACT House of Assembly will make similar commitments.
